Various creative activities will be offered for people to participate which will help enhance their appreciation of their environment, and create a sense of warmth and community and enable self-expression for people attending the service who are living with long term conditions. These creative activities will occur during the week of 19-23 August and include: Live music in the entrance atrium of Centre for Integrative Care (Piano, guitarist singer, string quartet, violin duets) Poetry: including Cranky illustration installation of Michael Rosen's poem 'these are the hands' Hands-on art-making activities with open invitation in waiting area to use art materials and perhaps take inspiration from the art installations and natural light in the building, Therapy Gardens, and create an art piece to add to a wall display or take home. Opportunity to participate in an Art Therapy Experiential run by two art therapists, inspired by the garden at Centre for Integrative Care(Weds 21/08/2024 2pm - 3.30pm, booking required).
